Oral History Project

As part of the Centennial Celebration, APS is creating an Oral History DVD with interviews of prominent plant pathologists as well as short perspectives from members on their experiences as a member of APS. The Oral History DVD will be given to all attendees of the 2008 Centennial Meeting.

Below you will find a sneak peek of the interviews - brief insights from a variety of scientists. The interviews included on the DVD will be high resolution. Additional clips will be added regularly, so please check back often! Special thanks goes to Darin Eastburn for leading the effort on this project chronicling the history and members of APS.

We would like to hear your story! Perhaps an interesting story about your major professor; a brief description of how you got interested in plant pathology; an important event in the history of the science or the society; your most memorable APS meeting story; or a short conversation between you and a colleague, mentor, or student. We want to hear from you. It's easy! Just stop by the APS Oral History Project table in the registration area during the meeting in San Diego and sign up to have your story recorded.
