DISEASE:  Anthracnose of turfgrass

PATHOGEN:  Colletotrichum cereale (formerly Colletotrichum graminicola)

HOSTS: At least thirteen warm and cool-season turfgrass species are hosts. However, anthracnose is predominantly a disease of annual bluegrass (Poa annua) and bentgrass (Agrostis spp.) grown as managed turf.
