APS Centennial Meeting: History of Excellence, Future of Promise

In December of 1908, at a meeting of the American Society for the Advancement of Science, 54 persons voted to form the American Phytopathological Society (APS). Throughout 2008, we are celebrating our centennial year as a society and the discipline of plant pathology in general. By now, you have read more than a year of historical vignettes, which are available online. And, you have reviewed your APS history by answering the centennial quiz questions. Next on the list of centennial activities is the 2008 APS Centennial Meeting July 26-30 in Minneapolis. This month's article is a meeting summary of centennial events to attend, booths to browse and items that will be available to all attendees. If you haven't made plans to attend, it is never too late to participate as we celebrate a "history of excellence and future of promise."
