Harrison, Department of Botany and Plant Pathology, Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colorado 80523 Phytopathology 65:739-741. DOI: 10.1094/Phyto-65-739.

Bacterial aerosols were generated in a chamber by simulated raindrops falling on potato stems infected with Erwinia carotovora var. atroseptica. Viable propagules moved readily with slow air streams and remained suspended in the air for at least 60-90 minutes.

Additional keywords: dissemination, sprinkler irrigation.
