Copyright 1981 American Phytopathological Society. DOI: 10.1094/PD-65-491. Bean curly dwarf mosaic virus and bean mild mosaic virus were isolated from bean plants near Turrialba, Costa Rica. Cerotoma ruficornis subsp. rogersi, Diabrotica balteata, D. adelpha, Paranapiacaba waterhousei, and Gynandrobrotica variabilis were able to transmit bean curly dwarf mosaic virus, while only C. ruficornis, D. balteata, and G. variabilis transmitted bean mild mosaic virus.
