Thirteen species of plant-pathogenic bacteria, members of Agrobacterium, Corynebacterium, Erwinia, Pseudomonas, and Xanthomonas, were preserved dry on silica gel held at –20 C for 5 yr. Survivors were pathogenic. The method is simple, and the only major equipment required is a household freezer. Keyword(s): |
