Bergdahl, Associate Professor, Department of Forestry, University of Vermont, Burlington 05405. D. W. French, Professor, Department of Plant Pathology, University of Minnesota, St. Paul 55108. Plant Dis. 68:225-226. Accepted for publication 7 September 1983. Copyright 1984 The American Phytopathological Society. DOI: 10.1094/PD-68-225. Benomyl and benodanil were tested for control of Cronartium quercuum f. sp. banksianae on five species of pine in a nursery bed. Both fungicides were applied as a soil drench either before or after inoculation with C. quercuum f. sp. banksianae. Symptoms were most frequent on control seedlings and those treated with benomyl but rare on seedlings treated with benodanil. |
