Sprout's Corner

Sprouts Corner is a dedicated space at Plant Health 2025 where parents can bring their children to play and engage in fun, age-appropriate activities. Designed to provide a welcoming and family-friendly environment, this space ensures that children have an enjoyable experience while staying close to their caregivers. More information on exact location, hours, and activities inside to come. Plant Health 2025 does not have onsite childcare. Parents must supervise their children inside Sprout’s Corner at all times.

Onsite Safety Protocols

APS welcomes attendees with children. Children are permitted in all sessions at Plant Health 2025, including Plenary, Concurrent Track, and Poster Sessions; this includes baby-wearing of young children. APS asks that all children over the age of 5 have a name badge created for them at registration.

To ensure the safety of all children in attendance and to create a productive and fulfilling meeting atmosphere for all attendees, we ask all parents and caregivers to abide by the following guidelines and requirements:

  • All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult in all meeting areas.
  • Parents and caregivers should do their best to ensure that children are not disruptive in any sessions they attend (including poster sessions). No running or rough play will be permitted, and parents/caregivers may be asked to leave the space by event staff if the child(ren) are causing a distraction.
  • Parents and caregivers who need to leave the session room will be able to listen to an audio/slide capture of most Plant Health 2025 scientific sessions on-demand after the meeting.
  • For safety reasons, children are not permitted in the Plant Health Hub (Exhibit & Poster Hall) during set-up or break-down times.
  • All children ages 6-17 must have a ticket (purchased separately through registration) to the Opening Reception and Closing Party to attend these events.
