Every year, APS honors individuals who have made significant contributions to the science of plant pathology or to the society itself through our award program. Additionally, numerous APS Foundation funds provide financial support and opportunities to APS Student and Early Career members through various travel awards, research, education, professional development, and mentoring opportunities.
Nominated Honorary Awards
We invite you to familiarize yourself with the various honorary awards of the society and nominate an individual who is deserving of special recognition and reflects APS core values and overall diversity within APS.
Nominations are accepted annually through December 1. Those selected to receive an award will be recognized at the upcoming APS annual meeting.

Additional recognitions include the Outstanding Volunteer Award and Friend of APS.
APS Foundation
Donations to the APS Foundation general and established funds provide funding support to APS members and help underwrite special initiatives, programs, and projects in plant pathology that align with the overall mission and strategic goals of APS.
Giving Creates Possibilities
Your donation will create opportunities for future leaders of APS (graduate students and early-career plant pathologists) to become actively involved and engaged in the society through participation in our annual meetings; member involvement in APS priorities, such as engagement of underrepresented minorities in plant pathology, mentoring, innovative teaching, and international programs; and opportunities for members to connect throughout the discipline and enhance their professional experience.
Funding Opportunities and Awardees
Thanks to donations received from our members, a variety of funding opportunities are available to students and early-career professional members of APS. Numerous funds help support travel, research, education, professional development and mentoring programs, or other initiatives that advance the study and practice of plant pathology.
