Annual Reports to Council Timeline
June/July: APS staff sends reminders to committees to submit their annual report of activities.
August 31: Deadline for APS committees to submit their annual report of activities to APS Council. NOTE failure to submit a report of activities for two consecutive years may be considered for deactivation by APS Council.
September: Councilors-at-Large (CALs) review reports and prepare a summary report to present to Council, including any actions/requests to Council. CALs with support from APS staff provide immediate answers to any procedural questions or staff related support requests.
October: CALs present the committee summary report to APS Council. Following the meeting, CALs will respond back to committees with any Council actions/requests. NOTE any funding requests related to annual meeting may be delayed until information is available.
November/December: Annual Report Summary available on APS website.

Why are Annual Reports Important?
Reflect: they provide a reflection point for you to see what your committee has done in the past year, and where future opportunities lie.
Opportunities: they provide a valuable conduit for committees to plan for future objectives that align with APS Strategic Goals.
Needs: APS Councilors-at-Large review and summarize committee reports, including any actions/requests needed from APS Council, and deliberate ways to best meet committee needs.
Membership & Engagement: they keep APS Council advised on overall committee engagement and activities, and committee leadership and rotation.
